Okay, so I spent several days praying, thinking, studying, and all of that. And this is what I have come up with.

I would like to retract my statements that I have made on the take a knee situation. As a matter of fact I would like to openly repent of those thoughts and beliefs completely, and here is why.

It is brought to my attention that as a believer one day, probably sooner than I’d like it to be, I am going to need the very same freedom that I got upset that somebody else was using. Any event that I participate in every year occurs on Sunday October 1st this year. And as I thought about that event it hit me . That event is the epitome of taking a knee. The Panola County life chain event is literally an hour of standing silently in prayer holding signs that represent love and life as it is a pro-life movement. And then I got to thinking even more, and realize that I use it more often than I think. I’m using it now. I use it on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, whatever other thing that it is. I use it there too.

As a matter of fact, I use the same freedom on a very regular basis, every time I share the love of God, I use the same freedom. That take a knee freedom. The First Amendment freedom. So who am I to say that they don’t have a right to the same freedom.

Then, even worse than that. The Lord spoke to me and said “Ginny, My child, how could you possibly get angry with somebody who is upset with America and the leaders of America with as many times as you yourself have gotten angry with ME. Your Creator? Your Father? And I’m perfect in ALL ways and want only your good at every moment….. they are just as imperfect as you are. Don’t I give you new mercies many times a day?” Woah… Ouch!

So basically I apologize for judging! You have your rights just like I have mine! I started to feel slightly shamed but then I remembered that God doesn’t shame us he only gently reminds us!

But I also like to thank my wonderful Pastor Paul Cocklin for gently and lovingly helping me to see a different point of view! And thank you God for giving me eyes to see and ears to hear what you would have me see abd hear and not stay blind to my own thoughts and opinions!

Today I “stand” and I #takeaknee as well! But not for the same reason that others are taking a knee. I’m taking a knee simply to support the freedom that we all have and that I will someday need to maintain my Christianity!
