If I were to ask you what the opposite of love is what would you say? Hate? Most would say hate. I used to say hate. But, scripture tells us that PERFECT love casts out FEAR not hate. Hate is a byproduct of fear.

Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. Whoever walks constantly afraid of punishment has not reached love’s perfection.

1 John 4:18 TPT

If you have hatred in an area ask The Lord to reveal to you the root of the fear. When you start praying into that fear and casting IT down you’ll find that hate melts right along with it. If you know you have a fear somewhere, deal with it quickly so that it doesn’t fester into hatred.

If you are having issues in your relationships, ask The Lord what is the fear that you are entangled in stopping you from loving fully with God’s heart for others.

The root of any and every thing stopping us from loving whole heartedly is always going to be fear. I challenge you (and myself) to start digging up those fears and facing them so we can love the way we were created to!!

Learning how to dig up fears and move forward in love in all areas of our lives is the truest way to walk in freedom!
