Testimony Tuesdays – Tammy Peel

Q: My first recollection of being in church was…

A: I think when I was 6/7 when my mom got married. We visited my new Dads Lutheran church, and several other churches in Houston. I think Tallowood was one. From then on I remember always being in church.

Q: The closest I have felt to God in my life was…

A: Knowing He was the only one who could change my husbands ways and save our marriage.

Q: The time I have felt the greatest doubt or distance from God was…

A: In March of 2017when life just became over bearing and unmanageable. I couldn’t cope with everything life was throwing me. I tried to end my life. I was so angry.

Q: If I could thank God for just one incident in my life it would be…

A: For my daughter Kaylee . I got pregnant from a terrible situation. I prayed more than ever for God to give me direction. His answer was to place her for adoption. It was a long, hard journey. I picked her new parents. They came for her birth. She is 18 now. Im thankful for her and her new family. Couldn’t of made it without God’s direction.

Q: If I could thank God for just one person in my faith journey it would be…

A: My Gmaw Ella Sherley. She is the epitome of what a Christ like. God fearing person should be. Being her Granddaughter has made me gentle and humble in so many ways. She’s a blessing to anyone who knows her.

Q: If I could name a turning point in my life for my relationship with God it would be…

A: When my husband and youngest son where in a 18 wheeler wreck about 4 years ago. It could have easily gone differently and been way worse. I thanked and cried to God so much thanking Him for sparing my husband and sons life. I thanked him for no other vehicles being involved. I thanked him for the lady and her mom for calling me and staying with them. Was very thankful my momma left work immediately to drive me to the hospital. I never take a day in life for granted .

Q: If I had to tell someone why I am a Christian I would have to say…

A: That my God will never leave me nor forsake me, nor judge me. Knowing that I have gifts that God gave me and me being a Christian. I am hospitable, compassionate, very empathetic and I can sing . He gave my momma Cheryl that gift as well.
