Thankful Thursdays

This is a new segment I’ve had for over a year and just been sitting on it! I will be sharing something I am thankful for each week and leave the comments open for you to share with me what YOU’RE thankful for!

Today I am thankful for order and provision. I have been a teacher at a local Mother’s Day Out program off and on for the last 5 or 6 years. My 2 year old daughter has been in the program longer than she’s been out of it. This year they closed their doors. So, I was looking into the other MDO in town for my girl to go to so she could have that routine back and I could have the time to do things like shopping and cleaning without a child in tow.

Upon talking to a friend of mine about it I found that the other MDO I was looking into is also hiring…that’s right so The Lord was already working on setting our schedule back up. So, I call them 1st thing Monday morning and the director “just happened” to be in. She set up an interview with me for this morning. But after talking to her I just knew in my spirit I already had the job!

I showed up today and went through the interview process. It was so wonderful! The questions I had were answered and then some. The presence of God was all over the entire interview. There was a peace and a connection. The position had already been filled and then at the last min the new hire “fell through.” It was being lined up for us before I ever even knew it was a desire (not even a need…but a want).

So, today I am thankful for The Lord providing before I even knew I wanted the position. He gives us the desires of our hearts before we even know they are desires!

What are YOU thankful for today!? Leave it in the comments below!
